Walk up to the counter and get a fish sandwich. It's simple. It's sloppy. It's excellent. There's other stuff to order too, but I can't bear to order something different. There is eating space to the side, and outside, but the seagulls are thieves! Restrooms are clean and behind the building.

No way to get fresher great tasting sea food without diving in the water. Warf front food has never been better, and I grew up in San Francisco. Parking can be tight when it’s busy, but they actually have a fellow running about helping you find a spot! It IS worth this minor bump in the road for a delicious seafront meal.

Probably the best fish market and sea food restaurant in So Cal. Whether your looking for some fresh fish shrimp or shell fish to take and cook or you hungry for some bomb fresh seafood, you just cant go wrong at Pt Loma seafoods. Stop by and see for yourself. You'll thank me later!

Food great, price and portions good. Not the friendliest staff......one staff member criticized the other one for just stand and staring off in space and not serving people. Could improve on customer service when taking orders. The counter people seemed anointed they were so busy and at questions. Maybe that's not the typical experience, I hope.

Very fresh deep fried fish, along with a gigantic seafood counter/store. They also have smoked fish. This is a must-visit if you live in or visit San Diego. Plenty of indoor and outdoor tables. Don't get the white chowder - it is very bland and tasteless.

Great place for lunch, all kinds of fresh fish, which is available cooked or raw.The prepared squid, sandwich or plate, is really good, nice thick pieces, lightly breaded, served with fries and slaw can't be beat.

Awesome place for some authentic seafood. Everything is made fresh on site. There can be a short wait but that's for a reason. It's absolutely worth it.The fish sandwich is fantastic. Enough to feed two people easily.

This is the only place I buy fresh seafood to cook at home in San Diego. If you know somewhere better, you should tell me, because I'd really like to know about it.

Always a great place to buy fresh fish! Ask for the Icelandic Cod, it's perfect for making fried fish 😋 Parking can be tricky, but they get you in and out. Outside seating at entrance and covered seating upstairs for a quick yummy bite.

Love this place. Recommend the squid in a sandwich. In fact most meals as a sandwich is the best. Only complaint is the parking. But food, A++

Excellent seafood, place had been there for awhile. The breading used for their fried seafood is amazing. Can be a little pricy.

The best place in San Diego county for sashimi hands down. Choose between salmon, yellow tail,yellow fin, toro, halibut and more. Mix up the selection with one of 15 different types of smoked fish with their white rice the friend seafood selection is endless and the grilled fish tacos and sandwiches are absolutely unrivaled. If you're looking for a local hang out with the best price in seafood pound for pound this is the place.

Thank you for keeping the doors open and supplying San Diego with delicious fish and other seafoods. If you are looking for wide assortment of fish this is a great place to go. Big eye tuna, Alaskan halibut, and smoked Albacore are some of our favorites to grab.

Great fresh seafood, from all over the world. Picked up lunch for 4 people, as well as dinner for later, and it was quite reasonable. Definitely needed a fresh seafood fix, while visiting San Diego.

Great food & ambiance, but sourdough bread bowl not very sour. Hubby commented that he expected the grilled chicken on his Caesar salad to be warm; I bet they'd do that on request.

Freshest fish you can buy, unless you catch em yourself. Fast service, 0 points for frendliness but the job gets done. Pricey but worth it when you make a restaurant quality dinner that chef Ramsey would love! Homemade cookies for a buck but smiles are extra! Enjoy

I come here every time I go to San Diego. The shrimp tacos are out of this world - actually, I've never had anything bad here. The fish is so fresh it's outrageous.

This place has a great assortment of fresh seafood! We had the halibut plate. Very good with gramma's tarter sauce recipe. The IPA beers lived up to their local reputation.

Large selection of fresh seafood. Bought the fish taquitos for dinner. The lime made them especially good. Beans not my favorite bit okay. Coleslaw less exciting. Great lemonade.

Fantastic seafood, unpretentious atmosphere. Wife and I both had the combo plate and loved it. Kids were happy with fried shrimp and chicken strips.

It was an amazing place to visit went to the market and got the actually sample some of the smoked Seafood before actually buying. I was real happy with the price and the quality of food that they have! Sat there and enjoyed lunch Manhattan clam chowder along with some smoked swordfish which I had purchased. There's plenty of parking, plus it is handicap accessible. Guys if you want something good to do with your ladies take them down to Point Loma Seafood Company. Is beautiful boats in the harbor to look at and the place has a great menu and it's restaurant plus you can buy not only raw fish but smoked fish also at reasonable prices. It's a good way to spend a date day!

I absolutely love this place. My favorite is the scallop sandwich. It's loaded with scallops. Everything is fresh. There's a market where you can buy all types of fresh seafood.

I don't even like seafood and I make it a point to come get their food here. The fish sandwich and calamari sandwich are too notch. Their fish is caught and cooked fresh, and they bake their own sourdough. Some of the best clam chowder this side of Boston too.

Great place to get some seafood. The prices are a bit high but the fish is fresh and the staff is super friendly and helpful. It's a go-to when I'm in SD for a quick bite and the portion are large. I enjoy the low frills, order at the counter vibe. Make sure you take a minute and look at the fresh fish for sale, The smoked selection is very large and it's hard to not get some candied smoked salmon belly when you see it(pro tip, get some smoked candied fish its fantastic) overall great family environment right on the water.

Great selection of fresh and smoked fish. Other trendy items and unique foods also available. They also prepare fresh seafood dishes. It's good, but I'm from New Orleans, thus 4 stars. I still think it's best fishmonger in SoCal.

Love this place! I'm from Iowa and there is no better place to eat fish than Point Loma Seafoods. It's a must stop for me when visiting San Diego. I'd been looking forward to being back.

Got shrimp and grits and it was amazing. Also got clam chowder and a salad. Chowder was watery and the salad was on par with a bagged pizza place salad.

Its a must for fresh seafood. So close to the airport. When a long drive down from north county. What a great stop..its a little harried figuring out menu where to stand its all so active. And. When you sit down and eat its all so relaxing

It is one of the best seafood places in San Diego to eat at. My wife and my stepfather did not like seafood. But taking them there change their minds.

The lines are sometimes long because the food is THAT good. Even if the line is long, the line goes quick, lots of people working to make the order right and fast. I probably order here at least once a week.

We have been eating there since 1971. High quality very tasty seafoods. Everything is so good. We sometimes drive to San Diego just to grab lunch and a cooler full of ocean delights.

Went for cold combo sandwich, light on tartar sauce with fries. Fabulous sandwich. Cant go wrong. Not cheap but quality never is. Worth a visit.

The food never disappoints!! We come in from Phoenix to eat the best seafood. The crab cakes and fish tacos are a few of my favorites.
